On site bat mitigation works postponed

As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to demand stricter measures, we have developed our approach to maintain the requirements of our partners and the government as outlined below.

In line with guidance from Natural England, it is now essential that all of our project ecologists postpone on-site church work for 3 weeks.

Following the guidelines issued by the Church of England, we also strongly advise PCCs and their architects and contractors to suspend all on-site work for the same period wherever possible and practicable. The final decision on this rests with each PCC to ensure each church is left safe and secure.

Any off-site work can continue in accordance with government guidance.

For those of you keen to take part in the Bats in Churches Study volunteer survey, while we still invite you to register and select a church to survey, we ask that you hold off from contacting your chosen church until further notice as currently places of worship are closed.

We want to re-assure you that we will be providing any planned training where possible online. We will let you know how to access this and if this is postponed or cancelled.

Finally, keep your eyes peeled on twitter and facebook and on our new website for the short videos and blogs that we will be bringing out over the next few weeks and months to intrigue and inspire.
