Bats in Churches in the news!
As the Bats in Churches project draws to a close, some of our successful case studies have caught the attention of the national press.
On Sunday October 15 the Bats in Churches project appeared on the wonderful BBC Countryfile.
Presenter Joe Crowley visited our project church of St Margaret in Saxlingham, Norfolk to meet Bats in Churches project manager Kate Jones and ecologist Phil Parker, and learn about the project's work with the church and its large colony of resident Natterer's bats.
The resulting piece is a lovely celebration of a successful project for Bats in Churches. You can watch it here (from 46.25).
Additionally, a journalist from The Guardian visited our project church of All Saints in Thornham, Norfolk to meet engagement officer Diana Spencer and ecologist Phil Parker to discover more about our work with the church and its colony of pipistrelles.
